1.How does whole body Cryotherapy work?
Cryotherapy will safely lower the skin temperature for a period of 2-3 minutes. Very cold air covers the whole body with temperatures ranging from -140 degrees to -180 degrees Celsius. Your skin temperature will return to normal when you step out of the cryo sauna.
2. Is cryotherapy dangerous?
No, Cryotherapy is not dangerous. Although liquid nitrogen is used during the process as a chilling agent it does not come in direct contact with the skin. Our Cryo Technicians are present during the treatment to ensure that the temperature levels are controlled.
3. Is it painful?
It is cold but does not cause you any pain. Treatment sessions are limited to 2-3 minutes which allows us to provide you with the maximum impact without giving you much discomfort. You can think of the sensation as being that of standing naked in front of an open freezer.
4. How long does a cryotherapy session last?
Treatment sessions last 2-3 minutes.
5. I’m claustrophobic. Will that be a problem in the Cryo chamber?
Your head sticks out of the top and is not enclosed so rest assured that you won’t feel like you are stuck in somewhere that you can’t get out of.
6. What do I wear during the treatment?
You can wear undergarments or a bathing suit to cover any intimate body parts due to the extremely low temperatures. Make sure to remove any jewelry and other clothing so that the cold air is able to come in contact with the skin.
7. How many sessions are needed?
Relief can be felt in as little as 1 session but depending on the complexity of your condition or symptoms we may recommend more for you.
